"Arjuna's Despondency Stage"
bheeshma drona pramukhatah sarveshaam cha maheekshitam
uvaacha paartha pashyaitaan samavetaan kuroon iti // 1.25 //
uvaacha paartha pashyaitaan samavetaan kuroon iti // 1.25 //
Translation:
Bhishma, Drona and all the other great rulers of the earth are present here. O Partha(Arjuna), lay your eyes on all the Kurus assembled here.
Description:
As the friend of Arjuna and as a charioteer, Lord Krishna was well aware of what was going on Arjuna's mind. So, he just placed the chariot between both the armies gathered, and particularly pointing towards Bhishma and Drona, Krishna said, O Partha have a look on all those Kurus who are here for the battle.
sarveshaam: all ; maheekshitam: great rulers of the earth ; pashyaitaan: (pashya+etan) behold+all of them ; samavetaan: gathered/assembled
