Srimad Bhagvad Gita | Chapter-1, Sloka-28 with Translation & Description

Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 1(Part-28)
Arjuna Vishaada Yogah:
"Arjuna's Despondency Stage"

arjuna uvaacha
drishtwemam swajanam krishna yuyutsum samupasthitam
seedanti mama gaatraani mukham cha parishrushyati // 1.28 //
Translation:
Arjuna said
O Krishna, seeing these all my own friends and reatives gathered here, I feel as if the limbs of my body failing to work and my mouth is drying up.

Description:
Arjuna saw all the friends, relatives and kinsmen present in the battle field in both the side. As an unconquered warrior, he again thought to whom he is going to fight!!! All the people around there is none other than his own. Gradually his heart melted and he became sympathetic. He felt as if, his hands and legs didn't have the stamina to pick up his weapon by which he will cut his own people in pieces and his mouth is drying up.
This was not the symbol of Arjuna's weakness rather it was due to his humanness. Even he forgot that, in the battle field he is nothing but a warrior only whose first work is to engage in warfare.

drishtwemam: (drishtwa+imam) seeing+all these ; swajanam: kinsmen ; yuyutsum: all eager to fight ; samupasthitam: present ; mama: my ; gaatraani: limbs ; mukham: mouth ; parishrushyati: drying
