"Arjuna's Despondency Stage"
tasmaan naarhaa vayam hantum dhaartaraashtraan sabaandhavaan
swajanam hi katham hatwaa sukhinah syaama maadhava // 1.37 //

Translation:
Therefore, we should not kill the sons of Dhritarashtra, our friends and relatives and own kinsmen. O, Madhava(Krishna) how can we be happy by killing them?
Description:
Arjuna was person of saintly nature with a sympathetic man by nature as well, who thought that rather than teaching a lesson to such felon they should forgive the son of Dhritarashtra. If they kill their own relatives and friends and their own people how could they become happy!! And by killing them, they would be a part of committing a sin.
