"Arjuna's Despondency Stage"

adharmaabhibhavaat krishna pradushyanti kulastriyah
streeshu dushtaasu vaarshneya jaayate varnasankarah  // 1.41 //

Translation: And when irreligion and lawlessness becomes prominent, O Krishna, the women of the family become polluted it results in intermixing of castes O, Varshneya(descendent of Vrshni) then comes unwanted progeny.

Description:
In Indian Hindu culture strictly prohibits unwanted extra affires. Because, it gradually results in intermixing of castes. And a good human population depends on the chastity and faithfulness of its womenhood. Women should not be misled into adultery so they require protection by the male and elder members of the family. When, there is no strong and elder present in the family to protect women then degradation/pollution occurs in womenhood because they become free to act and mix with men from various castes. Therefore adultery is indulged in unwanted progeny and it leads human race at the risk of war and pestilence.

adharma: irreligion/lawlessness ; abhibhavaat: become dominant ; pradushyanti: make polluted ; kulastriyah: (kula+striyah) family+ladies ; streeshu: by the womenhood ; dushtaasu: being polluted ; jaayate: come into ; varnasankarah: unwanted progeny(unwanted intermixing of various castes)
