yadi maamaprateekaaramashastram shastrapaanayah
dhaartaraashtraa rane hanyustanme kshemataram bhavet // 1.46 //

Translation:
Rather it would be better, if the sons of Dhritarashtra, armed with weapons kill me in the battle while I am unarmed and un-resisting.
Description:
Instead of a master of the situation, rather Arjuna, gradually a victim of emotions. In this great battle it was a custom that an unarmed person should not be attacked by any mean. But as per Arjuna, it'll be better for him that the sons of Dhritarashtra should kill him in such a situation when he has no weapons in his hand rather than fighting with own family and relatives.
yadi: rather/even if ; maam: me ; aprateekaaram: without being resistant ; ashastram: without being equipped with ; shastrapaanayah: those with weapons in hand ; dhaartaraashtraa: sons of Dhritarashtra ; rane: in the battle ; hanyu: may kill
