Arjuna Vishaada Yogah:
"Arjuna's Despondency Stage"
na cha shreyo'nupashyaami hatwaa swajanamaahave
na kaangkshe vijayam krishna na cha raajyam sukhaani cha // 1.31 //
na kaangkshe vijayam krishna na cha raajyam sukhaani cha // 1.31 //
Translation:
I neither see any good to come by killing my own people in this war, O Krishna, nor i expect any victory, kingdom or any luxury/happiness by this manner.
Description:
Human mind is always attracted towards objects and maternal things likese of Arjuna. Arjuna, who was the main hero of Paandavaas side and was there to finish all his enemies, just in the second moment changed his mind and was determined to give-up the war when he saw his own friends and relatives just in his opposite side. He didn't see any good to kill his own people and nor had the desire to victory, kingdom or happiness without his own kinsmen. So, he made it clear in front of his friend cum charioteer Krishna.
