Srimad Bhagvad Gita | Chapter-1, Sloka-30 with Translation & Description

Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 1(Part-30)
Arjuna Vishaada Yogah:
"Arjuna's Despondency Stage"

na cha shaknomyavasthaatum bhramateeva cha me manah
nimittaani cha pashyaami vipareetaani keshava // 1.30 //

Translation:
I'm even unable to stand steady and my mind is reeling. O Keshava, I can only see bad luck by participating in this battle.

Description:
Here, its a clear indication that Arjuna's mind had already been lost. He had lost all his mental strength only due to his excessive attachment for maternal things like; 'my friends', 'my family' etc. Due to such attachment, Arjuna felt it is not at all a good sign rather a bad luck to be engaged in a warfare where he is going to kill the people of his own kind.

na: not ; bhramatee: reeling ; me: my ; manah: mind ; nimittani: because of ; pashyaami: I see ; vipareetaani: just the opposite
